# Hosted Gateway

> Connect to Ultra over HTTPS without installing Ultra locally

The **hosted gateway** runs Ultra in the cloud. Instead of running `ultra start` on your machine, you point your agent at a URL. Ultra still applies your governance rules and guardrails and records every tool call in [Ultra Hub](https://hub.ultra.security).

## When to use it

Use the hosted gateway for apps that run in the browser or the cloud, such as Claude.ai, ChatGPT, [Microsoft 365 Copilot](https://docs.ultra.security/getting-started/hosted-gateway-microsoft.md), and Microsoft Foundry.

## Connect your agent

Every agent uses the same endpoint:

```
https://mcp.ultra.security/mcp
```

The first time your agent connects, it opens your browser to sign in to Ultra and approve the connection. Your workspace comes from your sign-in, so there's nothing else to configure.
