# Ultra Connector

> Connect an agent to Ultra in the cloud, without installing it locally

The **Ultra Connector** is how an agent reaches Ultra. The local flavor runs on your machine with `ultra start`. The remote flavor runs in the cloud: point your agent at a URL. This page is the remote flavor. Governance, guardrails, and every tool call still show up in [Ultra Hub](https://hub.ultra.security).

To install the local flavor, see [Install Ultra](https://docs.ultra.security/installation/install-ultra.md).

## When to use the remote flavor

Use the remote flavor for apps that run in the browser or the cloud, such as Claude.ai, ChatGPT, [Microsoft 365 Copilot](https://docs.ultra.security/getting-started/ultra-connector-microsoft.md), and Microsoft Foundry.

## Connect your agent

Every agent uses the same endpoint:

```
https://mcp.ultra.security/mcp
```

The first time your agent connects, it opens your browser to sign in to Ultra and approve the connection. Your workspace comes from your sign-in, so there's nothing else to configure.
