# Teams

> Group people and workspaces in Ultra Hub

Teams group people and workspaces around how your organization operates. Each team has its own members and its own workspaces.

Manage teams from **Settings > Teams**. Owners and Admins can create teams and add members.

## Create a Team

Click **Create Team** and enter a **Name**. The **Slug** is generated from the name if you leave it empty.

To add a workspace to a team, open the team and click **Create Workspace**.

## Add a Member

1. Open the team from **Settings > Teams**.
2. Under **Members**, click **Add Member**.
3. Choose a person and a **Role**, then click **Add member**.

You can add eligible existing organization members. To add someone new, invite them from **Settings > Invites** first. You can assign your own role or a lower one.

## SCIM-Managed Teams

Teams synced from your identity provider show a **SCIM** badge. Their membership is managed by your identity provider, so **Add Member** isn't available.

To add someone to a SCIM team, add them to the matching group in your identity provider. Ultra Hub picks up the change on the next sync. Name and Slug edits made in Ultra Hub are also overwritten on the next sync.

See [SCIM](/hub/scim#group-to-team-mapping) for how groups map to teams.
